NFC & QR Writing

Steps for Writing Data to NFC and QR Code:

1. Create a Pet ID:
    - First, create a Pet ID on OpenPetID by inputting your pet’s information,
such as medical history, vaccination records, and emergency contacts.

2. Generate a View Link:
    - Once your pet's profile is ready, generate a secure view link for the Pet ID.
This link allows anyone with the NFC tag or QR code to access the pet’s
      information via a browser.

3. Download a Third-Party App:
    - Use a third-party NFC writing app (for NFC tags) or QR code generator to
encode the link onto the respective medium.

    - Recommended App: NFC Tools (available for iOS and Android) is an excellent
app for writing data to NFC tags. It’s easy to use and offers both free and
      paid versions with additional features.

    - For QR codes, apps like QR Code Generator (available on both iOS and
Android) can generate QR codes quickly from your Pet ID’s view link.

4. Write to NFC or QR Code:
    - For NFC Tags: Open the NFC Tools app, tap “Write,” and select the option
to write a URL. Paste your pet's view link into the app and hold your NFC
tag near your phone to write the data.

    - For QR Codes: Open the QR Code Generator app, select the option to create
a QR code from a URL, and paste the view link. Once generated, you can
save or print the QR code.

5. Test the NFC Tag or QR Code:
    - To ensure the data is correctly written, scan the NFC tag with your phone
or scan the QR code with any QR code reader. Both should open your pet’s
      profile link.

By using these methods, you can quickly and securely store your pet’s
information on NFC tags or QR codes for easy access and enhanced safety.
